Perfect Yosemite Icons is one year old! A lot has happened since March 31, 1999. For starters, this is PYI icon set #10 (not counting PY Desktop or New Metaphor 1.3 as unique sets)! Numerous desktops were released, PYI expanded and got its own domain name, Perfect Yosemite 3 was released with iControl, and First Snow won the Grand Prize in the 2D category of Pixelpalooza 2000! With OS X on the horizon, the future looks to be even more intriguing窶ｦ

  4. The initial inspiration for this aqua-tinged system replacement was Andy Runton窶冱 (AndyRunton@mac.com) excellent "Classic X" set. Check it out at the Iconfactory (www.iconfactory.com).

  6. Usage
  7. The enclosed icons are ﾂｩ 2000 John Marstall. The icons are original artwork of the author and are intended for use on personal desktops. They may be used on a NON-COMMERCIAL website if a link is provided to Perfect Yosemite Icons (http://www.perfectyosemite.com). A commercial website is one where some product or service is sold (including shareware applications). For use on such sites, or any other use not mentioned here, please contact John Marstall for information (iconmaster@perfectyosemite.com

  9. These icons are to be distributed as freeware. If you choose to redistribute them, you may not charge fees or request compensation of any kind.  This readme file must accompany the icons at all times. By downloading this archive you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

  11. Due to incorporation of 32-bit color and 8-bit masking, these icons will look best on Mac OS 8.5 or later.

  13. If you downloaded an Icondropper Icon Pack or iPack (both utilities available from the Iconfactory 窶“ www.iconfactory.com), put it in your Packs folder. If you downloaded standard Mac icons, you can make use of them through copying and pasting:

  15. Select the icon you want to use, and open its info window (File>Get Info or type command-I).
  16. Click on the icon's representation in the upper left of the info window.
  17. Copy it (Edit>Copy or command-C).
  18. Select the file or folder whose icon you want to change.
  19. Open its info window.
  20. Select the icon there.
  21. Paste (Edit>Paste or command-V).
